APS Travel Bugs™ Program
The APS Travel Bugs™ program runs September 7, 2020 to June 20, 2021. The 6-week summer session runs June 28-August 8, 2021. Until we enter Stage 6 of Michigan’s Safe Start Plan, Aux Petits Soins™ will continue to offer French language immersion classes virtually. Students enrolled in a group class, meet weekly for a 60-minute group or private classes. Students enrolled in a group class can also add a weekly 30-minute private tutoring class. No prior knowledge of French is required to enroll in this program.
We use the Listen. Absorb. Speak.™ method to teach French in an immersive environment. At this level, students will increase their French knowledge through more independent activities, such as reading, storytelling, art and culture lessons. APS Travel Bugs™ are given task-oriented and multi-sensory activities that allow them to use their French in a specific context.
The APS Travel Bugs™ syllabus has been specially designed to pique the interest of students and encourage them to be active learners. Phonetic and grammar rules may occasionally be introduced, based on the questions raised by the students.
We offer three levels. Here the schedule from the year round program for the group classes:
- APS Travel Bugs™ I (4-6 years) Mondays and Wednesdays at 5 p.m.
- APS Travel Bugs™ II (7-9 years) Tuesdays at 6:15 p.m. and Fridays at 5 p.m.
- APS Travel Bugs™ III (10-12 years) Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m. and Fridays at 6:05 p.m.
The summer schedule will be released soon.
